About

Loquitur is a co-venture of Mahesha Subbaraman and Brandon Sheats.

Mahesha Subbaraman is the founder and owner of Trinity Briefs, which provides online coaching and support to high school students participating in Lincoln-Douglas (LD) debate nationwide. A recent Amherst College graduate, he is also a high school LD debate coach and judge working in Minnesota. He blogs infrequently at the Trinity Briefs Weblog. He is also the creator of Colloquy, a free, comprehensive online directory of links related to high school speech and debate.

Brandon Sheats is currently the director and editor of Georgia Forensics, a leading speech-and-debate site. He currently has a blog (it’s always a work in progress) of his own, and also blogs at gradyspeaks, his team’s website. He has appeared on NPR’s Morning Edition, and is currently directing a political campaign. He also coaches debate at Henry W. Grady H.S., where he has coached 20 students to CFL Nationals and 12 students (a district record) to NFL Nationals.

Tim Halbert is responsible for Loquitur’s intro and ending theme insofar as he has graciously allowed us to use his Internet hit, Excremental Intermission (Boomshine Mix), for free.
